Another June Sprints Top-10 for Beauchamp

EMP road racer Mike Beauchamp just missed equaling a personal-best finish coming home ninth in the Formula Continental portion of the Sports Car Club of America June Sprints at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI this weekend.

Beauchamp qualified 12th with a time of 2-minutes, 17.7-seconds and started 17th in the final event. Beauchamp worked his way through the field and into the Top 10 in the final stages of the race settling for ninth at the finish.

“I was able to close up on the rear wing of the eighth-place car but could never make a clean pass,” Beauchamp stated. “I chose to settle for ninth instead of balling up the car. Although it would've been nice to better my eighth-place finish in 2005, I'm pleased with a Top-10 finish at one of the most competitive races of the season.”

Beauchamp and his EMP Stewart Components sponsored mount will return to SCCA action with another event at Road America on July 22-23.
